If you partner wanted a vasectomy and wanted you opinion and you disagreed what would you do if...?

This is a marriage breaker. If he gets the vasectomy, you will resent him for it because he made a unilateral decision that affects both of you and your marriage. But if you get pregnant again by accident, he sounds as if he would resent it. There isn't much middle ground in this situation. Violet's solution is the best it seems. Both of you use birth control that isn't permanent. Combination birth control. Maybe you have to do combination birth control on just your part...such as bc pills and a female condom or a diaphgram with spermicide along with the pill, because it sounds like he doesn't want the responsibility of taking care of bc or another child at this time (Men are notoriously self-centered if you ask me!) He may change his mind about having another child in the future (I've seen it happen.) Telling you that he doesn't care or won't consider your opinion or feelings is just insensitive and nothing a loving husband should do. I think he should "care what you think". The two method birth control seems like a good option for you both, he if will truly listen to how you feel. If not, then you have bigger problems in your marriage than just birth control.
