What are these things in my pond?

i bought an aquatic pond thingy for flowers( its basically like a big flower pot with water and soil in!) when the flowers started to grow these teeny little things started to appear i thought they were just bits but then i realised they were moving they are kinda like tadpoles but much smaller they have a kind of flat round head bit?! there is lots of them. any ideas?
