Old work electrical box help!!!?

i had a light switch on the wall, i cut a hole a few feet below, ran 14-2 romex between the two to add an outlet below it. i took out the old electrical box for the switch and replaced it with an old work box (so that i could fish the new wire). i also used an old work box for the power outlet below. i installed the boxes, wired everything up, tested it and it worked! so i began pushing the wires into the switch box (where the connections take place), and bam! the box pushed rite through the drywall. so now the hole is too big for the little tabs or ears to sit against the front of the drywall! what do i do?!? please help! im panicing here.
