Help with a project for events in February in the year 1996?

I'm doing a project for computer cl, where I have to make a newsletter for the month I was born in. Does anyone know of any important events that happened in the month of February, 1996? It could be anything from political events to scientific discovery. please don't tell me about alien sightings or anything dumb like that. Thanks so much!
