Why Is There Another Gandolf?

So I Was Smokin And I Was Thinking Why Are There Two Gandolfs In The Lord Of The Rings Series Doesnt He Die In The First One Im Not Into That Stuff So Ive Only Seen bits And Pieces Of Each One And I Dont Wanna Watch The Movies Please Explain!
