How and why did shakespeare (especially Hamlet) have the influence he did (it did) on romantic period.?

I've been trying to find info on the question to satisfy and essay I need to write. But!! I can find a ton of stuff about Shakespeare just little to nothing about that paricular topic. Any help will be appreciated - running out of time. Thanks
